  Did you know that Napa County is officially listed as a sanctuary jurisdiction under California’s SB 54, which limits local law enforcement cooperation with federal immigration agencies? I know now because I read Tim Carl’s excellent piece in Napa Valley Focus.

• Napa Kids. Amazing newsletter — with a great list of swimming spots!
  Ever heard of Revive Sonoma or River Electric in Guerneville? Neither had we! Luckily, Napa Kids knows what’s up. File this under: essential intel for triple-digit days.

• Carabao. Filipino restaurant finally opens!
  Located in Century Plaza next to the movie theater. We’ve been eagerly awaiting this one. And now we finally have another pre-movie option that isn’t NapaSport or Forge.

• SoFi District. Battle of the Bands 2025 is getting very real!
  Mark your calendars for July 27! And if you want to play, apply TODAY — prizes are very legit. Stage dreams start now.

• First Thursdays. Monthly community gathering in Oxbow Commons.
  This thing’s got it all: Live music, beer, wine, food trucks, lawn games, children, dogs, scooters, you name it. July 3rd is the next one. 5-9p. We’ll see you out there!

• Napa Farmers Market. Some fresh vendor finds:
  The Farm Hauss - A mother-daughter farming duo slinging citrus, walnuts, organic rice, honey, sugarplums, and serious good vibes.
  Bushel & Peck Bakery - An Asian-inspired, gluten free, vegan bakery that’s giving tradition a twist (one pastry at a time).
  Ian’s Bakeshop - Ube sourdough, Pandan brioche, Biscoff sticky rolls, and more to come. Filipino flavors worth getting up early for.

• Studio Findings. 25 years on Main Street in St. Helena!
  Go celebrate on June 26 and say hi to Maura for us!

  Okay so, I drive by this place multiple times every day. It’s been open for over two years. I only just noticed it today. What else are we all missing?? You know???

• SPK Coffee & Breakfast Sandwich (Kenwood). Opening Soon!
  Our obsession with breakfast sandos is well-documented. We’ll be heading to Sonoma soon in the name of “journalistic integrity.”

• Salt & Straw (Santa Rosa). The Portland-based scoop shop opens their first north bay location.
  We’re diehard Noble Folk fans, but who says you can’t double scoop? Santa Rosa just got way sweeter.

• Jimtown & Then Sum (Healdsburg). Now open!

  A beloved landmark is back with fresh flavors and familiar charm. Jimtown lives on.

  Fajita lovers, rejoice. The Don may return to the downtown fold.
